This Privacy Policy describes how Michael Albert MD LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), an Oklahoma limited liability company, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit michaelalbertmd.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Please do not submit personal health information through this Site. The Site supports consulting, education, and speaking services for organizations. - Contact form: first and last name, email address, organization, the type of engagement you're interested in, an optional budget range and timeline, and your message.
- Newsletter signup: first name, email address, and an optional professional role, which are transmitted to Beehiiv, the platform that hosts and delivers the Substance Over Noise newsletter.
- Direct correspondence: anything you send to us by email.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically:
- Google Analytics (GA4): we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at the Site. Learn more at Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out via your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Hosting and infrastructure logs: our hosting provider (Netlify) and content delivery network (Cloudflare) may automatically log technical information such as IP addresses and request data for security and operational purposes.
How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries and evaluate potential consulting, advisory, speaking, or writing engagements;
- To deliver the newsletter to subscribers and understand engagement with it;
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the Site;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
Service Providers
We rely on a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:
- Netlify — website hosting and contact form processing;
- Resend — delivery of contact form notifications to us by email;
- Google — analytics (GA4);
- Beehiiv — newsletter hosting and delivery;
- Cloudflare — content delivery, DNS, and email routing.
Each provider receives only the information needed to perform its function and operates under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer.
Cookies
The Site uses cookies set by Google Analytics for measurement purposes. We do not use advertising cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; the Site remains usable without them.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because no common standard governs how to interpret these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to respond, evaluate, or maintain a business relationship, and as required for legal or record-keeping purposes. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe, which you can do in one click from any issue.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) across the Site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
- Newsletter: unsubscribe at any time via the link in every issue.
- Access, correction, deletion: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing drmichaelalbertbusiness@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and honor requests as required by applicable law.
- California residents: California law entitles you to know what categories of personal information we collect and how we use them, as described in this policy, and to make the requests above without discrimination.
- EEA / UK visitors: where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information on the basis of your consent (newsletter), our legitimate interests (responding to inquiries, operating the Site), or legal obligation. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Children
The Site is directed at professionals and organizations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States, and information is processed on servers located in the United States. By using the Site, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
